California's Gold

California's Gold is a travel program that explores the numerous natural, cultural and historical wonders of the Golden State. The show, now in its 13th year, is produced and hosted by Huell Howser. The minimal production allows the locations, and people, to remain the focal point of the program.

Howser, a cherubic and rather fit gentleman, is an ambiable and easily amused interviewer. After more than a decade of interviewing fidgeting park rangers Howser continues to entone a certain boyish enthuasiam for the show's locations and topics.

A great California's Gold themed drinking game could be fashioned around Howser's usage of the phrases Gee Whiz! and I'll be darned!.
