Carl Zeidler

Known as the singing Mayor of Milwaukee because where ever he went he

always had a song for everyone especially God Bless America. He was distinguishing himself in National Politics with the hopes of running for President. When World War II broke out he resigned and eagerly joined the Navy and asked for the most dangerous position becoming an officer in charge of a gun battery on board USS LaSalle. The ship and all hands were lost at sea off the Coast of South Africa. By the way he was the first Democrat mayor of Milwaukee since 1906.
