Continental climate

A continental climate is a climate typical of the interiors of the large continents of the Northern Hemisphere[?]. It is characterized by an extreme disparity between summer and winter temperatures, and relatively low precipitation occurring mostly in summer.

The midwestern United States and Russia are areas of the world with continental climates.
