David Foster Wallace (born
February 21,
1962 in
Philo, Illinois) is an
American writer. He is a recipient of the
MacArthur Fellowship, commonly known as the
Genius Grant[?]. He taught at Illinois
State University for most of the 1990s. He then began teaching at
Pomona College in the fall of
2002.
