George Peppard

George Peppard (October 1, 1928 - May 8, 1994) was an American film and television actor.

Peppard was born in Detroit, Michigan, the son of an opera singer and a building contractor. He starred alongside Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961), although he is probaby more famous among younger viewers for his role as Col. John "Hannibal" Smith in the cult 1980s television show The A-Team.

He appeared in the TV series Banacek (part of the NBC Trilogy miniseries in 1972) and Doctor's Hospital[?] in 1975, also on NBC, and in various action films and westerns.

He died of pneumonia on May 8, 1994, and was interred in the Northview Cemetery, in Dearborn, Michigan.
