The definition of what constitutes a progressive band is often a subjective one. For instance, Asia could just as easily be regarded as an AOR[?] band, The Nice as a jazz-rock[?] band, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin as heavy metal, and Renaissance as folk-rock. Nevertheless, all of the bands listed here are supported by progressive rock fans to some extent.
