Liverpool John Lennon Airport

Liverpool John Lennon Airport (IATA code LPL) is a fairly sized aviation facility in Liverpool. It was named after the late John Lennon, a founding member of Liverpudlian music group The Beatles, in 2000, twenty years after Lennon's murder. Before this, the airport used to be known as Speke.

On the roof is painted a line from Lennon's song, Imagine: "Above us, only sky".
