Metaphorical language, is a "language", being based upon a discrete, functional
language, but with the added element of having a common reference as a basis for common metaphors, to introduce concepts into discussion. This is a common feature of
religious discussion, where a religious text is a prerequisite for understanding terms, often esoteric and non-scientific, in conversation.
