NANOSTYK

The

                   NANOSTYK, more correctly, Tymon's NANOSTYK (tm), is a ruler. The scale of the ruler is
                   based on the distance light travels, in space, in one nanosecond. To differentiate time and length, the
                   latter is designated as a nanosec. The nanosec scale is divided into 10 equal sections, each
                   corresponding to 100 picosecnds of time, or 100 picosecs of length. Each of these sections is
                   divided into 10 equal sections, each 10 picoseconds of time, or 10 picosecs of length. The tool is
                   advertised as "MEASURE WITH THE SPEED OF LIGHT, HOLD A NANOSECOND IN
                   YOUR HAND." It is a learning tool for middle school and high school, and a practical tool for work
                   in electromagnetic transmission disciplines. Development of the NANOSTYK was a result of a
                   question raised by the (then) Captain Hopper, who asked of her engineers, "Show me a
                   nanosecond." They presented her with a length of cable which electromagnetic transmission would
                   travel in a nanosecond Tymon's NANOSTYK (tm) took the concept to a logical conclusion, and is
                   tool for making measurements in the range of pico- to nano-seconds of time, or pico- to nano- secs
