Patrick R. Michaud, Ph.D., is a Professor of Computer Science at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (http://www.tamucc.edu), where he has worked since 1990. He received his Ph.D. in 1990 from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana-Lafayette (http://www.louisiana.edu)).

On the Internet he is best known for his articles Strawberry Pop-Tart Blow Torches (http://www.pmichaud.com/toast/) and Fun With Grapes (http://www.pmichaud.com/grape/), which he wrote in the summer of 1994 to evaluate the web as a communications medium and which have been widely cited both on the web and in the popular press.

Recently, Michaud has authored PmWiki, a WikiWikiWeb system written in PHP and specifically designed to support web development.
