Pseudaelurus is a prehistoric
cat that lived in
Europe and
North America approximately 20-10 million years ago. It is an ancestor of today's
domestic and
big cats, and a successor to
Proailurus.
Pseudaelurus was approximately the size of a cougar by the time it died out.
