The
Season of the Harvest is the ancient
Egyptian Fall and follows the
Season of the Going Out. During this period the Egyptians would use
flint knives and
sickles[?] to cut off
grain heads and collect the grain into sacks which were carried to the
granaries and beaten with a
flail[?].
Wind winnowing would then separate the grain from the
chaff[?].
