The Vandals

For the tribe that destroyed the Roman Empire, see Vandal.

The Vandals are a hardcore punk rock band originally from California. Despite having never signed to a major record label, the Vandals have managed to maintain a dedicated following for over fifteen years as a result of constant touring and the release of several acclaimed albums.

After a few early personnel changes, the Vandals stabilized as Dave Quackenbush[?] (lead singer), Warren Fitzgerald[?] (guitarist), Joe Escalante[?] (bassist) and Josh Freese[?] (drummer) in the 1980s. Most of their recorded music was released on a variety of independent labels (Triple X[?], Nitro Records[?], Epitaph Records and Kung Fu Records) in the 90s. Of particular note are the critically acclaimed albums The Quickening (1996) and Hitler Bad, Vandals Good[?] (1998).
